Buy one of these:
http://www.fumotousa.com/

From the engine bay you can reach the fumoto valve and oil filter. No need for jacks/jackstands ect. Just make sure you get an oil pan low enough.

I have one on my 05 S and one on my 09 Accord V6 Coupe. Oil changes are insanely easy on both cars now The only tool I take out with me is a hose to go with the nipple (prevents oil blowing around in the wind) and a filter wrench.

I never thought of just doing it without jacking the car up though, I have to take another look at where the fumoto sits from the engine bay. Thanks for the tip!

Fumoto FTW. I can reach it from above with a Vortech SC in the way, should be easy to get to on a stock car.

I understand that. I always just tighten them the best I can by hand, and I have never had a problem with leaks or anything withing the 25,000 miles i've put on my s2k. I also use an OEM filter every time I change the oil. I'm just saying you dont need a filter wrench to tighten them. It would be best to torque it to spec, but hand tightening the best I can has worked for me for years with my s2000, so thats how I do it.
...and, as stated above, there are also plenty of anecdotal experiences to the contrary. If you can properly tighten it by hand, great. If not, use a torque wrench.

I had the Fumoto but properly tightened it pointed down. It didn't really matter as far as the Fumoto itself but it did seem to hang a bit to low for my own piece of mind. I've been using a Mityvac since then. The CAI also helps with getting to the filter from above.

It should point up. There was some kind of trick to it that would cause it to point down when installed. Something like if the stock drain bolt washer was or wasn't installed the Fumoto would point down.

You are only suppost to hand tighten oil filters.
I cannot turn the filter 7/8 of a turn after it makes contact by hand. You may very well be stronger than this old man, but I cannot do it. I know that the rules for decades were hand-tight only, but the new filters specify 7/8 turn after contact and that's more than hand tight for my hands.

I went to a track event a few years ago, and over the two days a couple of S2000's lost their engines when their oil fliters blew off at speed.
