ROCKS?
After that discussion, I realized that the first mistake is talking to the dealer.

the guy at the stealership told me that its really bad and that i should put it on RIGHT away because rocks can get into the engine. I just love the sound of it . Does anyone have it off?
Also i have a MG style hood so would that make a difference?

Please explain exactly what you are talking about.
And what's an MG style hood? No real answers can be given if you don't provide the right question.

sorry about that guys. I still have the filter. Im talking about just taking off the airbox and leaving the filter there. I just love the sound of it so yea. Also MG style hood is a Mugen style hood.
The guys at the dealerships were seriously looking at me if i was retarded or something. I just simply asked them if i can run without an airbox. 2 of the guys told me that stuff can get into the engine and can damage it. I told them that i was leaving the filter in and all that just removing the airbox and they still told me that small objects can get in.

You can completely ignore what those dealer guys are telling. They're pretty ignorant. You can pour a box of rocks (not that you should) into the open airbox and the filter will still keep the air pretty clean before it gets to the motor.

It might be also that the guys at the dealerships are just covering their asses. Surely they want to avoid condoning such a thing, even given the ever so small chance that damage might occur.

I recommend you search for air box mods - two things people do that makes the car sound more aggressive at WOT are cut out the air box baffle wall and tape up or cover up the hole to the resonator in the air box.
Doing so will make the car sound a bit louder, and its all free. Fwiw, I recommend keeping the airbox lid on too.
