Ok, I understand that I am not to change the oil before 3500 (7000) miles because of some additive that Honda installed at the factory. What do people add to the crankcase to replenish oil which is consumed durring this initial breakin period? Also, what is normal oil consumption? My car has 900 miles on it, it used no oil durring the first 600 (easy) miles, but has dropped to about half way between full and add in the last 300 miles. Thanks for all responses.
Oh, and happy holidays to all.

Did you try searching for old threads (there should be several)?

Mine used no oil during the first 1000 miles then it dropped from the H to L (or is it the top X to the bottom X -- whatever) during the next 1000 miles. The low oil is said to made VTEC less powerful. Just top it off with some good non-synthetic 10W30 (like regular Mobil) that meets Honda specs in the owner's manual.

my car also used over a quart at about 1000 miles... i drive hard-
the manual is very specific as to the type (not brand) of oil to use. it is o.k. to add it to the original "break-in" oil that is in the car.
