well, it gets up to normal operating temp in a few miles. Temp outside since my oil change 600 miles ago has been 60+, and recently 80s and 90s.

So, that being said, I'm still a bit worried...

My ITR would do the same after a day of tracking.

Will a honda dealer do an analysis of my Oil? Or do I have to go with blackstone? Just tryin to avoid some hassle.

Honda probably doesn't have the proper lab facilities and would have to send out a sample to a third party lab like Blackstone. I would trust myself to take a proper sample of the used oil over most Honda dealer mechanics. You should do it yourself imo and if possible charge the costs to the dealer, but that will be a long shot.

Jeez, man, what hassle? You contact Blackstone and can do the entire transaction online. They will send you the kit - you want to ensure that the proper collection sequence is followed in order to get a proper reading, and I would not entrust that to anyone other than myself if it were my car. You then send the sample to Blackstone, and indicate you want an email and hardcopy, and post the analysis, and we can interpret it for you, or go to "bobistheoilguy.com" and join and post it and we can interpret it for you.

That said, sure Honda will do it for you, for a price - that is added work for them, and it will be at least the cost of an oil/filter change, and if they are already "on guard" for some reason, they might send out a cleaner sample.

I say keep it straight and true - DIY! Just my opinion - I could be wrong.
