Oil dipstick question
When I check my oil and pull the dipstick out I notice that the oil gets whipped all the way up to the gasket that's on the stick. The oil level is one x under full.
What would cause the oil to whip that high on the stick? Oil pressure? Is it normal? The dipstick does not pop out and I do not notice any leaks from the tube.
Thanks,
John

I am running Mobil 1 10W30 full synthetic. The oil has about 2000 miles on it (11,500 on the car).
I just don't remember the oil going so high up on the stick. I was worried that perhaps there is too much crankcase pressure. Car runs fine.
