Default Oil consumtion wiht v-tec

Well today as i pulled into my drive way I saw my oil light flicker. So i checked my oil and its alomst a qt. low. well I just changed my oil about 2000 miles ago. I know V-tec burns oil, ive owned a few other v-tec hondas and they all burned some but this is almost as bad as my 93 rx7. is that normal? Oh if it matters im running mobil 1 10w-30.

1 qt. in 2000 miles is not too bad and is not uncommon. If you ever get down to 1 qt. in less than 1000 miles, then you might have cause for concern. I doubt any of the other cars you've stated has Fiber Re-inforced Metal cylinder liners. Getting the rings to seat well in all S2000s all the time is a unique situation. Honda changed something in the AP2 that has greatly reduced or eliminated this oil useage. What it was is still uncertain.
Some people have reported that going back to non-synthetic has reduce their oil consumption. You might want to give this a try at the next oil change.
It might be hard to call it "normal". "Common"? Yes, but normal is in the opinion of each individual.
