Um, I am a guy!

Most people accidently have it backwards, but i've never seen someone who always thought I was a guy then later thought otherwise.

I'm at 11,300 miles total. The car went through it's first quart in 1,600 miles and it continues to maintain the pace of anywhere from 1,400 to 1,800 miles per quart. It's a pain in the ass but since I've driven British car's all my life I certainly know how to check the dip stick and add oil. In fact, I have a reminder card that I keep in the radio door pouch. When I return home after a fill up, I pull out the card and place it by the shifter. When I return to the car the engine is cool and the car is parked in the same level spot. The card reminds me to check it before taking off and then I return the card to the door pouch.

As for the second part of your question. The car's no garage queen. I drive it like it was intended. On the other hand, I never VETC'd till well past the recommended break-in and I don't do any stupid clutch drops, etc.

I think the oil consumption is gradually improving. I check oil level very carefully. For the first 4600 miles, consumed 2.0 quarts. Initial oil change at 4600 miles. Then oil was changed again at 7600 miles, by which time the level had gone from full [five marks] down to -0.8 quarts [1 mark]. So, I estimate that for the first 4600 miles, I was burning about 1 quart per 2500 miles, and for the next 3000 miles, I was burning about 1 quart per 3500 miles. Current mileage is 7900, so I will be watching over the next month or two to see if oil consumption continues to improve. I tend to think it will.

I got my car in August, had the oil changed about 3-4 months ago. Since then I just was stupid and neglected to check it . Three nights ago I went for a cruise and found a perfect stretch of road, long story short I got my "S" up to 143mph before shutting her down. What an incredible rush with the top down! The next day I just happened to check my oil. I had about a quart left I'm guessing. I'm at 8300 miles and obviously I burn alot of oil. All that I was thinking was that I went 143mph with no oil in the car (not good) .The next day I changed my oil with synthetic(mobil one) and I added a can of restore. My car seems fine and I hope I didn't mess her up! I'll be checking my oil consumption very frequently from now on!

Ok thanks for clearing that up xviper. I always check my oil when the motor is cold, but I heard other people talking about checking it when the motor was warm(not hot)...so I was just a little confused.
Btw, I checked my oil today and the oil level is down by 1 X. I have about 140 miles on my car, never hit vtec or went over 5k rpm. Is this normal? I know the s2k burns a lot of oil during breakin, but considering the low miles I have, I am a little bit worried.

Thanks in advance...
