Mine has the gasket on, and on the right way, and it still sticks.

+1 for the tap method... My OEM cap on my Civic is often tight when the engine is hot. Most of the time I can get it off, but once at a gas station when I needed to add a little I used a rag and taped once with the elbow portion of the lug wrench.

I was occasionally having trouble getting the cap off so one r****y day I made this tool out of a piece of scrap pine and 3/4 inch dowel stock. The dowels fit in the scallops on opposite sides of the OEM cap. Took all of 1/2 hour to make. Finished it with a couple of coats of water based poly.

Awesome tips guys. I think I will just go back the OEM cap. The Spoon doesn't add much bling, and I think I can live with-out the extra 10 hp the Spoon sticker adds.
