I'm assuming the magnetic plug must have 'stuck' to something under your car or you must have been driving at about 2 mph?? You're a lucky person to hear it ping under your car, continue for a small bit and then be lucky enough to find it under your car.
Maybe you have a little Gremlin under there playing games???
