The Spoon plug has a magnetic tip like the stock tranny plug and it says spoon of course.

Let me get this straight...

You hear a noise, so you stop your car and turn the engine off. You get out, and see your oil drain bolt on the ground. You see a pool of oil on the ground.

Then you get back in the car and start the engine?????

I cant imagine there was any oil left in the sump, so you where basicaly running with 0 oil pressure for however many seconds or minutes you had the car running. Can you say scored cylinders?

Kind of like one of those old slick-50 commercials where they run the engine with no oil!

It reminds me of my $30 Mugen radiator cap that lasted 5,000 miles before it started leaking coolant...and makes me wonder whether my Mugen thermostat is still working.

I'm not generally one who pays for a name, otherwise I'd have bought a Porsche or a Benz.
Stamp "Spoon" on a sack of 10 buck hammers, quadruple the price and I'll bet you'll find buyers for all of them but when it's all said and done, you've got a bunch of guys running around that bought from a sack of 10 buck hammers.
Oh wait! Mugen has already done this on a set of wrenches.
(Oops, sorry! I think some of us have digressed from the original topic.)

Hey, mine doesn't say "Spoon"! Did I get gypped? Even if it did, though, I am sure some will say I got gypped anyway!

Did you drive over a manhole cover? Perhaps the magnetic plug was attracted to the huge iron disc and was yanked out. You could tell by whether or not the threads were sheared out of the oil pan.

This mod alone is good for +200 hp. Everyone should know this...

Anyways, with the location and were it happened at, it was in my best interest to move the car. Trust me. It was almost 12, and all I wanted was beer. I never turned it off, and when I did there was still plenty of oil floating around in the engine because I watched it come out for the next 10 minutes.

Since I can't find my manual, is there a correct torque setting for this bolt?

Something other than the main drain bolt came out if there was anthing more than a 1/2 quart or so of residual oil left in the engine after 30 seconds. Hot engines drain in seconds, especially when the engine is running , then might drip for 10 minutes or so.

Wow good thing you checked out the noise. Glad to hear you did not cease the engine. Your Spidey sense must of been tingling.
