Default on/off switch on door panel

I've had my car for 3 months now and last night I was driving and notice an on/off switch on the drivers door panel. What is this for? I've really have no clue. Thanks

It turns off power to the passenger window button. If you turn it to 'off', you can't use the button on the passenger door to put the window up or down.

So once I was dynamatting the entire cabin of my car. After I got everything put back together, the passenger window wasn't working. I thought that I had disconnected something or pinched a wire or something. so I tore all the interior out again. Couldn't find anything...ended up being that I had flipped that switch and didn't realize it.

what's the point of being able to disable operating the passenger window? I don't get it. As the driver, if I don't want to open the passenger window, I just don't hit that button. Is there some reason this button is there to allow this option? seems pointless.

I think it is to keep children from lowering the window if you don't want them too. Or it is simply there to annoy your passenger

It is so that you can keep your passenger from rolling down their window and trying to jump out while you're scaring them to death whilst running The Dragon!

If you have a kid sitting on the passenger seat, playing with the power window switch, it might be a bit annoying and dangerous.
That's when you need "Power window lock switch"
