OEM hardtop with soft top front striker?

Default OEM hardtop with soft top front striker?

Has anyone tried OEM hardtop with soft top front striker? I am just curious if that would even work? or maybe it is loose compare to hardtop striker?

They are the same for HT and ST. Earlier models may have been flimsier but still work.

The front latches for the ST and the HT are actually different. HT ones have HARDTOP USE ONLY stamped on them.
But I have definitely used soft top latches on a Mugen replica with no adverse affects.

I'll have to look at my ST latches next time I have my HT off. I've always assumed they were the same.

I use MY00 soft top latches for my Mugen replica as well, and I haven't had any problems.

02 + strikers work fine with all HT's at least those that arent worn. Early strikers may be worn but if not they should be ok as well.
