Default OEM Car Cover Material Change?

So, I am on car cover #3... had one for the ap1, had 1 for the ap2, and now I have one for the CR..

except, um... the material is totally different, and the red logo on the front is now silver.

I looked at the CR instructions and it says it's "Honda Custom-Patterned Technalon Car Cover made by Evolution Fabric"

WTF is this..it feels like soft cardboard and definitely different from the covers I have had in the past...

Anyone know why they made this change? Is the new one better? Is this CR specific?

Thanks!

That is an all weather car cover. The previous S2000 cover (and the NSX cover) were soft indoor only dust covers. Recently Honda has been switching to the all weather breathable fabric covers (like the Evolution fabric) so that people can store and protect their cars both inside, and outside, with adequate protection. I hope this helps.

http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com/Covercraf...r-Cover/592623/

it looks similar to this... it's this waffle fabric... definitely not as soft as the previous version...

so which is better if you keep the car indoors..

this is the original car cover...

Sounds like the old one is better if its indoor only. if its outdoor id recommend both.
