Default OEM 16's on MY 04

I have a 2004 S2k and plan on running 2001 oem wheels for my snow tires. Anyone out there done this? I've searched the forums and found many people mounting 04's on 00-03 cars so I figure the opposite should work.

Thanks

That's a matter of opinion. Now I don't think the old 5 spokers are exactly ugly (uninspired maybe), and I don't think the new 10 spokers are the sweetest wheels in the world either. But IMO I'd definitely take the looks of the new wheels over the older units any day.

I use my 03 16s with Blizaks lm22s as snow tires on my 04 - no problems at all

I just mounted 16" Blizzaks on Sport edition rims. Got the tire and wheel package from Tire Rack and they fit great and look nice.

I rode with the OEM 16s for a while because I traded my '04 wheels for them + cash. The overall stability of the car is a bit compromised with the smaller wheels. I feel a big difference in grip at the limit between the 17s and 16s.

I picked up a set of 16s with good all season rubber for a good price. Haven't put them on yet. No snow here, but it rains all winter. No sense in putting wear on the summer tires.

Sounds like these should work well as snows

I was concerned about having to use some kind of adaptor or spacers for the wheels to fit but it sounds like they should mount up no problem.

Did the same last February (as I took delivery). I'm not sure I'd say they look "great", but you just can't argue with the price!
