OEM 04/05 Rims and Big Brake Kits, do they fit?
I personally love the way my stock 2004 rims look. I don't car if they are heavier than the fancier aftermarket rims...they look perfect and handle just fine to me.
I would like to upgrade to a big brake kit. Yes...I've read all the countless posts about why? For street? For looks? Blah, blah... I've made the decision to get a set so I only want information on proper sizing.
1) Stoptech: ST-40 (4 Piston) 328mm rotor (12.9") or the ST-60 (6-Piston) 328mm rotor (12.9"). Will both of these fit? If so, will they require spacers?
2) Wilwood: I'm not familiar with the types that are applicable to the S2000. Will any of them fit under the stock 17" rims?
I have considered other brands, but I have my heart set on either a Stoptech or Wilwood.
Also, can anyone recommend a good set of brakes pads? I'm too lazy to switch pads every time a trackday comes around, so is there a brake pad that can used for both? I only track the car once in a while...maybe once every 3 months.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Check this thread for Wilwoods

Stoptech has a template for their calipers on their website that you can download. Most of their applications require a lower offset wheel or spacers with extended lugs.
Most BBK's are run with lower offset wheels so they will fit without spacers. But the issue is that they stick out much farther from the fender. This is where you will see BBK's hand in hand with aftermarket fenders that give an additional 10 to 30mm's of clearance.

Forgiveness for my naivety...but what exactly do spacers do? Just venturing a guess, does it make my wheels stick out further from my car? If so, how does it affect my handling? Will it make my car look ugly? Will I have to realign the suspension? Thanks!

Spacers are like washers that will increase the distance from your wheels contact point from the hub. As this distance increases, the amount of lug that is visable from your wheel will become less. This leave less contact point for your lug nuts and will depending on the size of the spacer (over 5mm) will require extended lugs.
They will however also increase the distance from the inside spoke of your wheel and the brake caliper of the BBK.
Too much can have adverse effects in handling but at more of an extreme case. Under normal driving they are fine.
Alignment is not required but if you change the lugs I would recommend it.

You won't get any 6 piston calipers under your OEM's without some serious spacers.
