odd question about stock leather seats...

I think I might know what you're talking about.
I haven't seen this problem on any S2000s but my '03 TL-S had that problem, except with white strands, not black.
After a couple thousand miles they should disappear.

They will disappear after a while. You can never trim them as they'll keep popping up and your hands will fall off if you try and trim them everytime they appear. Eventually they will start disappearing. I know because I tried.

As JL9000 said, its just the stuffing on the seat. It will go away, No biggie. Its a real issue on the TLS/CLS not so much on an s2k. The only thing that makes it worse is vaccuming the seats with high suction. Dont sweat it.

Another leather thread...why was I not alerted of this sooner!!!
What you are seeing is either the backing material or some of the actual leather fibers from the back poking through, take a high pressure air hose and blow them back through. This also works if you get conditioner in the holes and it leaves a white residue.
You could let them sit and just wear away over time, but someone you know has to own some sort of compressor, just take the air spray nozzel and blow them back, very quick and effective.

Does that really work? I never thought about that. I don't know anyone with a compressure but what about the ari hose at the gas station that fills up your tires? Would that work?
