Odd noise

I have the same problem , it souns like when wind hits paper and its flapping arround? is that the same description guys?

^^^sorry to bring up an old thread, but i have the exact same sound u guys r having and i really would like to know wut it is and if any of u have fixed it? Ive been reading and it seems it may be the timing chain tensioner?

I think mine does it too... only when it's cold... sound sorta like "fluttering" or a really dull chattery noise... goes away after the car warms up though

same thing here. from roughly 3000-3700k rpms. I'd love to know what it is and how to get rid of it.

OMG, if you're going to bring back a thread from the dead, maybe find a better one than this? Fluttering.... sheesh

Dash rattles to date (from what I've read):

00-03 - seem to actually be the rear view mirror - the sound bounces off the dash
04+ - seems to be an airbag screw or something else in the dash - requires taking the dash apart to fix, but only happens in colder weather.

This seems to be a pretty good description. It's not exactly the rattle you'd get from a loose bolt.

Put a wrench or screwdriver on every bracket and clamp you can find. Also maybe a little spritz of WD-40 on anything that might be affected by the movement of the engine.
Who knows, You might get lucky.
