Picked MY04 Silverstone/Black on Friday. As everyone previously, I have been grinning from ear to ear ever since. A few observations, though. How long until the tires are broken in and start their tenacious grip? Mine seem to float or slide a bit when pushed, even slightly. I don't get the various comments regarding MY03 vs MY04 steering wheel. I've driven both now, and both are great. The new engine does give better daily drivability. And the box is sweet ... probably the best on the planet. All the comments are right on with respect to the radio...could use some help, even in MY04. I can't even crank Fat Boy Slim, the base distorts so much. Overall, a fantastic classic sweet ride.

You may want to see if the tires are over inflated. I don't know aboout the MY04 but with the SO2's is was 32 psi

CHECK FOR SPRING SPACERS ASAP! All of you taking delivery of a new S should do this as its the most commonly overlooked PDI item IMO and most dangerous...

Congratulations,
I agree with tire pressure check. Mine were between 36 & 37 psi. They should be at 32 psi. I've seen past post with owners having as much as 40 psi. when delivered.
ENJOY!

I'll check the spacers and tire pressure ... however, I remember reading a post here referencing the same systoms on new rubber.
