His car is SilverStone...at least he last time I saw it, so it definitely means he got a new glass rear window.

Yep, a 2002 glass window in a MY 2000 Silverstone.

My price for this conversion was $350.00.

Long story short. My car was getting some buffing out at the dealership
by the body shop person they contract. Somehow buffing compound or
whatever he used got speckled on my top. I noticed three oval shaped
marks on my top were it looked like he tried to clean up the spots.

Whatever he used (not knowing about what our tops are made of)
marred the top. So the dealership apologized and first sent it to a
upholstery shop that does custom street rods to get the top clean and
groomed. They did a great job and the top looked good except those
three spots were still there and showed up.

Dealership bought me a new top and I paid the difference between
the 2002 top and 2000 top and a little extra for the mods the upholstery shop had to make.

I'll post picts later but they didn't do anything to the frame just made some
cloth mods that hold the top to the frame.

The service manager I have been dealing with was gone yesterday but
I'll talk with him on Monday and get all the info and price.
The service manager and dealership I have been going to have been great even before this happened.

So there are some dealerships that treat our S2's right.

I noticed immediately.
Although for a second I did wonder if you repainted a 2002 and put in older tail lights...

How does this fit the frame after the sewing mods were made? Does it work OK when it goes up and down?

This really sounds too good to be true.

Thanks,
Bob
