Firm and predictable here. Transmissions that shift bad is sign of abuse or defective construct.

So there is no service that can be done besides a tranny fluid change to possibly help with this? Clutch fluid worth trying?

As for grinding on 1-2 shift, from what I've heard a clutch fluid change, and clutch tension adjustment helps a lot.
is this true changing the tension of the clutch using this adjustment will prevent notchyness?

Mine is getting progressively worse to where it's pretty notchy even when warm. Hopefully, the fluid change clears up the notchiness.

The clutch tension would only effect it if the clutch pedal is not disengaging the clutch completely when shifting.

You have an 08, it's just a matter of time. I'll be waiting for the "notchy" shifting thread.

To the OP, I did a trans fluid flush and a very heavy TWM shift knob and couldn't be happier.

The tension of the clutch has nothing to do with the shifting of your tranny.

Isn't there a better fluid than Honda MTF?

go with honda mtf. i've tried gm, amsoil, and old honda mtf. the new stuff's not perfect, but the best of anything i've tried.

changing clutch fluid also seems to help a bit.

as everyone else says, heavy knob also helps
