yeah had this problem for a long time. tried different fluids in there which worked, but the problem came back after a coupel thousand miles. now i am happy to recommend trying the new version 2 honda MTF. 15k miles on it and still works great, going to change it soon anyways though

There has never been anything other than Honda MTF in my gearbox, and I've had no issues at all. A warm transmission shifts wonderfully when it's working properly and filled with a fresh load of MTF.

i'm specifically recommending the mtf version 2. the original mtf was horrible for me, with an 05, same as the OP's car. version 2 is better than even the alternatives i've tried such as amsoil, gmsmfsmfsmfmsfmsmfs however u spell it

05 AP2, 12k miles, I have this same issue. I'm going to try changing my transmission fluid in order to alleviate some of the cold 2nd gear notchyness.
Just to confirm, is this the correct part number for MTFv2?
08798-9031
I am ordering it from H and A accessories.
