For the first 5k miles, it is normal for the engine to consume a little more gas. Thats the experience that I've had with all of my hondas and believe me, I have all of them but a pilot and odyssey. As compared to the 2L's, I dont recall the gas mileage being any different.
I dont think honda has done enough changes to the 04+ models to completely change how the car handles. Alot of people fish tails with the s2ks in turns not because the car handles poorly, but because most people do not understand how to drive rwd's.
