Reset the alignment. There is the problem. Also note that the Miata is a much lighter car, and that is good. Ever been to an autocross? Miatas are impressive, and just as quick or quicker than an S. I've driven both properly set up and the difference is minimal in feel, except of course, for the electric steering, which I personally feel gives no feedback at the limit. But, I reiterate, it's the alighment. This car is very sensitive to that.

I also feel much more confident in my Miata than the S2K but at lower speeds. I think the reason is that the steering on the Miata is far more communicative and you can really feel what the road is doing . The S2K feels more remote even though the actual ratio is more aggressive. Round the canyons the Miata is much easier to drive Quickly. The Miata is very predictable in its handling and its Quite easy to get it to 8/10ths without breaking a sweat.
For me it is the S2K gives me more confidence on the higher speed stuff (80MPH plus) as it feel a lot better planted. The Miata starts to feel a bit loose on the higher speed turns.
