I don't see the point in replacing them with MY00 taillights. But I'm sure the taillights that they're replacing them with have been updated, if they're MY00 taillights.

I have a question, since this is a recall does that mean all cars within that vin range can have there tails replace even if the fading hasn't occurred yet?

It's a recall, not a TSB. Go to the recall search facility and you'll see it.

They are going to replace your taillights with the part number listed.

Honda isn't going to give you a different part than whats in there, so I doubt your getting the newer tails which have a different part number I'm sure.

It says everyone is getting a letter but suppose that doesn't happen. I've never dealt with a recall before so could I just go in and schedule if I don't get a letter? My VIN is in range.
