I normally get about 240-250 miles on one tank of gas. By the time the fuel gauge reaches the half-way mark, I've driven about 200 miles. The next 40-50 miles will take the whole second half of the tank of gas. I know the fuel gauge is not perfect, but being this non-linear is ridiculous. Do other owners have this problem with their fuel gauge?

My first 2 bars after a fillup disappears alarmingly quick, like within 10-20 miles. Then the middle seems to last a long time and the last few bars go as quick as the beginning ones.

I think it depends on how you are driving. When driving hard, I noticed that 1 bar usually means the same as 3 bars if i was doing highway driving. Maybe it tracks the rate of recent fuel consumption when choosing what to display?

I once got exactly 300 miles on one tank of continuous driving.
I have never repeated it though.

My last three bars go to one bar anywhere from 7 miles (!) to 20 miles. Weird.

I'm used to the non-linear fuel guage. My Prelude is the same way. I think all Hondas might be made this way. They also have a built in reserve, so even if you are on empty, you still have a few gallons left. I find that on the Predlude, the fuel guage really only shows me 12 gallons, even though I have a 16 gallon tank. In other words, when the fuela guage is at half, I've only used 6 gallons up. I'm sure the S2K is skewed the same way.

I think the S2000 is skewed the opposite way, when the fuel gauge is at half, 10 of the 13 gallons is already used up. The second half only indicates the usage of the remaining 3 gallons

Just go by the gas warning light. When the light is first constantly on, you have about 2.6 US Gallons of fuel. Do the math from there. I use 20mpg to be conservative.
