There is freedom of speech and freedom of expression, so this goes both ways.
When I was younger I made my beetle louder by installing an Empi exhaust. For an 18 year old it sounded pretty
cool.
This may hypocrisy or old age but seeing and especially hearing these loud S2000s like LOUD Civics is
Sad for me. Although a S2000 isn't a Porsche it"s a really sports car . Porsche,Corvettes etc have factory modified
exhaust for their cars that make horse power and a louder sound but nothing like these civic/s2000
Wanebes.I apologize if I offended anyone but as S2000s get less expensive they may get louder and drive
Me to selling my modified civic,I mean s2k and buying a Porsche. In other words it"s embarassing.
Well I"ve said it.....It"s not too common as yet but I"m hearing more and more.

what on earth is your point? What other people do with their car is up to them. Hondas are known to be cars that youths like and can easily afford. Accept it. Honda caters the civic and the s2000 to youths who want a decent car at an affordable price.

I know what's you're talking about. In my S the exhaust is stock. I listen to a Invidia Q300 and it's nice. More than that is too much for me. I recently got a 2006 civic Si. It have Skunk2 exhaust. It's load, very loud. I'm putting the exhaust back to stock and all friends are tell me that I'm crazy

Fortunately it's expensive to modify an S2000 exhaust system which keeps most of them stock or at least done right. Any high output, high compression small engine is going to sound like an angry bumble bee with a free flowing exhaust...just listen to any sport bike engine out there...swarm of bees!

I personally prefer stock because I like hearing my music and not sounding like a tool driving a car with no muffler.

I don't hear any S2000's with tacky exhausts in my area. They are still a bit too expensive for someone with that mentatlity to afford. I see/hear plenty of civics like that though.

Either way, doesn't bother me. It's your car, do what you want and I'll do what I want. I have a Q300 and love it and haven't had anyone complain that it sounds bad (if my wife doesn't complain, then I know it's not bad!!!).

So ........
What yer sayin is U don't think it's cool anymore to wear yer ball cap sideways anymore.
U don't think it's neat to wear yer pants down to the crack of yer ass.
U think it's just plain weird to wear yer toque on a 90 degree day.
U no longer feel the need to challenge every sporty looking car to a street race because yer masculinity is threatened.
In other words, you've finally matured enough to stop being a punk.
