No beep equals no lock
Guys, I don't know if I am the only one but sometimes when I pull out the key and the wheel doesn't lock, I'll hear beeps when I open the door to get out. If then you press the lock door button on the key fob, it will not give the locking beep, nor will the doors lock.
So as a suggestion, make sure you hear that beep when you click on the key fob.

I can't recal hearing any beeps when the key is removed? The green light for the immobilizer blinks, but the only beeps are when the key is in the ignition and the door is opened.
If you check your owners manual I remember it saying that the horn doesn't honk when you lock your doors (remotely) on the first push--the doors do lock, and the turn signals blink. If your doors are already locked, and you push the button on the remote to lock them, the horn honks.

If I remember right the owners manual states: That the horn will sound if the remote is pressed again within 30sec of the first push. Also the parking lights always flash when the button is pushed.
What I have seen is that when the key is in the ignition, the remote dos not function. No Lock/Unlock and no truck.
The steering wheel lock does not engage unless the wheel is is the right place. If you move the wheel without the key in the ignition it will lock. Most cars that I have owned work like this.
