nitrous on stock s2000
Hello all, this is my first time posting here.. i bought my 03 s2k in october and have had this zex dry kit sitting in my garage.. i have not installed it yet because i have been searching to see if anyone else (other than those with built motors)have ran nitrous..so far no luck.
so my question is is there anyone out there that has installed nitrous on a stock s2k?
is this a good or bad idea?
thanks for the help

From what I have heard the nitrous systems are alot of extra heat and strain on the engine. Personally, i would not use one of these things at all because I dont want to have an engine rebuild in the future. How much of a shot are you planning on using? Im sure some of the pros will chime in shortly and correct my imput if i am wrong, but seens nitrous is risky power.
Heres a link to some impressions on a nitrous system

dont waste ur time with a dry shot, 75-80 wet shot is perfecly safe if u know how to use it, i've been using nos for a long time so i know what to expect, but a stock clutch on the S might last u a week so thats the first thing u need to upgrade.

NOS will shorten the lifespan of normal wear and tear items such as valve seals & rings etc.. but how fast depends on the jet you use and the tune. At 55 shot you should be OK
Right now we are running 75 shot ZEX kit on a shop S2K just to make it quicker due to poor compression and bad leadown test results , but we are planning a full rebuild (w/ out nitrous) probably high compression stroker or turbo set up.

Nice.
I am a stock nitrous hater. I don't know your plans down the road, but if one of them is rebuilding the engine, go for it. I guess a good rule of thumb is, "all in moderation".
I remember when some lady ran a stop sign and totaled my 90 (h22) Accord, I said to my self, "I should have driven it harder if I knew it was going to end this way".
