Since late 1999, Honda has been able to sell all the S2000s it cares to make without casting any aspersions on any other car.

I have not seen any similar sales comparison handouts from Honda. Has anybody else?

It seems quite natural to me that they would compare their car to ours - afterall the S2000 set the new benchmark when it came out. Look at the good side. . . the first sentence is 100% correct.

Nissan NA has a section of their website that can compare the 350z to just about any can that you can imagine. Here's the address: http://compare.nissandriven.com/sidebyside...1=614107&comp2=

I am a z fan and Im appalled. Sure, eventually they will have to advertise it, but in this manner it is ridiculous. But you must not hold this against us z fans, we have nothing to do with this and we believe (of course) that the car right now can sell itself. personally I find it ridiculous that the dealers would stoop to this level to sell this car, although I wouldn't put it past them after they tried to gouge a lot of z fans when purchasing their cars. on another note, my friend has an s2k and let me drive it a couple of times and I thought it was a wonderful car; Honda's best piece of work yet. But I guess business is business.

just my .02

We will all be laughing the hardest when the piece of crap falls apart. Don't think I'll ever buy another Nissan again after that.

I agree I would expect this from some dealers, but the difference here is that Nissan THEMSELVES (not the dealerships) published this MIS-information for the dealers to use!! It's sad the Nissan feels they have to stoop so low to sell their cars. I sincerely hope Honda files suit against them to force them to retract their inaccurate statements publicly (like in full page adds in all the major car magazines). That would make an example out of them and keep these tactics from continuing or escalating.
