Nissan publishing LIES about the S2000

I believe this is for Nissan salesman to learn at a glance what the competitive advantages are compared to other vehicles in the vehicles class. Acura and Honda dealers have the same type of documents with the same type of "direct" verbage. But they should have their facts straight

LOL....they comment on how each aspect of the 350z is better, but can't back it up with better numbers than the S2000, but instead just hide the S2000 numbers. Then they go on to say the S2000 is cramped, but the dash is hard to reach??

You certainly don't expect truth or objectivity from advertising do you? The very nature of adverstising is half-truths and outright lies. That's what these people get paid to do -- lie.

Talk about not having their facts straight. The morons can't even do basic math when the outcome is actually in their favor! They state the power/weight ratio for the S2000 is 11.7, OK 2810lbs. / 240hp = 11.7
Then they go on to say that p/w ratio for the Z is slightly better at 11.6, but if you look at the official web site the 5 different models of Z weigh in from 3188 to 3225 lbs. Granted, I don't have a degree in mathematics, but:
3188 lbs. / 287hp = 11.1
3225 lbs. / 287hp = 11.2
And it is still slower !!
A mind is a terrible thing to waste . . .

Plus, most convertibles are heavier than their respective coupes. So, when the Z comes out with a convertible, it will be heavier and slower yet.
Not at all impressed with their propaganda.

Nissan get my thumbs up for trying
Thumbs down for being stupid. They're worrying about the wrong car! in the wrong market. They should look behind them and watch for an RX-8 tailing up their rear end. Because that's the car that's going to spank them down to the tube.

Actually, there is no exception to the DTPA for internal documents. If a someone tells you something that they KNOW (knowing being the key issue here) you can sue them. Simply saying that the 350z is "better than the s2000" is fine. Thats "puffing". Saying that the spare tire doesn't fit in the car? Thats false. Saying that the there is a timing belt as opposed to a chain. If thats not true (and I don't know if it is or not) then its also a violation unless Nissan can show that they didn't know. Given this brochure, I don't think that they could use that defense. The salesmen won't get sued because they probably don't know any better. Nissan does and might.
Now I know you are all saying that the honda folks told us this was a limited production car only on sale for a limited time. Just because they told you that, doesn't mean they didn't know it wasn't true. Thats the key. You have to be intentionally misleading.
