curious as to which works best with the NFR

on my03 silverstone i had, i just left well enough alone.
the oem touch up paint looked terrible. didn't bother
with the pen for the silver either.

hoping for better results with the red
all input is welcome, good or bad.

I have tried both and I thought the OEM touch up paint wasn't very good. I think the Autosharp pen is good for NFR though.

Search around the washnwax. There is an article on how to repair paint chips correctly. Simply put touch up paint by itelf is no good. You gotta do some wet sanding. I am in the process of doing this right now with my sebring silver - not done yet. But I think that red is one of the better colors for this process.

I ordered both the Honda touch up paint and the NFR pen from www.handa-accessories.com to touch up a couple of chips. I tried both and was way more impressed with the pen they sell.

I did happen to leave a bump from the pen on one of the chips. I have Mother's touch up kit - Lambka -or whatever it's called - and I may attempt to smooth down the bump.

The pen does a good job. One good thing about the NFR is there's none of that metallic stuff in the paint so it's relatively easy to do a job that isn't obvious.

thanks for the replies

i was hoping the pen would work better
on the red, since it lacks the metallic.

the silver looked utterly terrible with any kind
of touch up

as for the wet sanding i did happen to read the post
when he 1st did it. fortunately i have just 2 small chips
from some baffoon running 2 tires off the shoulder
for about 1/4 miles. i try not not get anywhere near the cars
in front of me but their was no way to brake with
all the traffic, i did let off the gas tho.

i will give the pen a try

I think it is a 2 steps process;one color pen,(NFR) and on for the clear coat.
I have a few chips myself,so keep us posted, with the results.

The AUTOVISUALS pen sucks. Paint isnt even close, and the application of it is garbage. Dont waste your money. Get the pen and regular touch up from handa.
