If it takes you less than 7 hours, you're doing it wrong....and thats with a porter cable.

I can usually come home from work on friday, around 3-4pm, wash+clean interior and all glass inside and out and be done before dark which is 530ish. I usually don't use a clay bar but when the car doesn't show any lines, swirls, or wavy patterns in direct sunlight I don't think I'm doing much wrong...

As for polishing, this was my first time ever on any car. I couldn't believe how well it came out after my first try, but it works. I can't see myself spending half a day detailing a car.

An hour for polishing using a DA buffer? I usually take longer than that and that's with a rotary, which is much faster at correcting paint defect.

I HATE keeping my wife's black TSX clean. HATE. HATE. HATE.

Plus, NFR is a great color.

NFR because when I had a black car it was a pain to have to clean so much and the scratches and swirl marks show. But nothing beats black when it's clean and scratch free.

No black cars for me since my 1970s Ford Galaxy convertible. learned the lesson of impossible to keep clean a long time ago and won't go back there.
Love my Silvestone!

Good one.

The S2000 has pretty subtle styling with gentle curves. Black does not do justice to the lines. It sort of erases them because you don't get that good gradation of light reflecting across the surfaces. Light is just absorbed. NFR does a pretty good job of showing the lines.

For the record, I've had plenty compliments from ladies on my NFR.

I agree with that, black tends to hide those nice curves. You can't see any shadows cast by the lines if the car is already black. My favorites are Silverstone and NFR, they show the bodywork very well. Obviously, this is IMO, as this is a subjective topic.
