Ive been in the industry building cars that make well ove 1400 whp for about 8 years now....... so again what exhaust and intake would give the most gains and how big of a hit can u use on the s?
With your background, you should realize that a 2.0L engine putting ~200hp to the wheel is close to being maxed out. Don't you think? Any combination of a single exhaust + intake are not going to net large gains. From what I've gathered here on the forums, single exhausts yield slightly getter gains than double outlet exhausts. Throw in a test pipe and you can see a little more hp. I still haven't seen a good dyno for a CAI alone. 3-5hp seems to be the normal gain from an intake although I could be mistaken.

Of course, you can go with nitrous or forced induction for some noticeable power. That being said, for the money, I'd recommend changing the FD gear. I'm a Wisconsin believer.

Have to agree with BusterKnutt. English is probably his second language and there are a lot of people who either don't have great typing skills or just type on the fly when communicating electronically without worrying about things being perfect.

The guy started out apologizing for a repeat post, sounds genuinely excited about his new car and wants to seek info from a group who shares the same level of excitement about the car. I've always checked this site to learn about the vehicle when I bought my first one a couple years back but was hesitant to ever post anything from seeing things like this. It's a shame because I've actually become convinced that many of you do know everything or just about everything there is to know about this great little car.

"wow guess this is how you treat all the new memeber.... I asked a simple question that is all im not to familier with this motor so I asked a general question lol I see how this forum is already..... "

I don't know. Just because he didn't find Wisconsin's reply to his liking, he's already summed up the mentality of the entire S2KI.com board. I wouldn't say that's the the best approach in asking a question on this or any forum for that matter.

The simple fact is, when you type with such bad grammar and use the word "nitrous" in a sentence it makes the user seem like a younger, inexperienced person. Wisconsin was trying to save a potential young buyer from becoming an "S2K WHOA" fanboi and slapping on a nitrous kit for 600 dollars from pep boys.

(in case you didn't get that last part, 600 dollars would be for a barebones nitrous kit, which would generally be unsafe to use without the proper safety features that also add on money)

To be exact the numbers were 1567 whp my former employers car who I lent a helping hand in building actually maybe you know him craig paisley? as for the Nitrous question it was a general question im sure the car can handle a 100 shop wet but why not ask the opinions of others? Its called communicating with the industry and other s2k owners. I apologize for my bad grammer i was typing on a cell phone I just recently got internet back at my place. The nitrous was going to be a temp solution to no low down power. But after speaking with a few of my contacts in the industry ive decided o go turbo. The kit will be a full race manifold hosting a gt35r turbo aem ems tunned by craig and 3 inch turbo back exhaust into a single HKS carbon TI can. As well as the turbo I have aquired a spare head and am doing a full ferea valve train on it as well as cams (havent decided which ones yet) also a thicker head gasket to drop my compression. im shooting for 400 whp on pump and around 475 and race a local s has done this already with a similar combo. Is this better for the haters on the forum?
