You did a wonderful job, that is absolutely where I am putting my VAFC. This is something that I have been thinking and talking about for a while with some folks out here in DC/MD/VA. I have recieved my VAFC and I am waiting on the plug/play harness for installation (about 1 week for delivery ). So, in about 10 days time it will be installed. I don't like the visor mount, I want to be able to see the VAFC at all times because, well, I think it looks quite cool.
I do have a few questions for you if you don't mind -
1) Since the wire comes out from lower right rear, how did you snake it down to the ECU? I would like mine to be hidden and I was trying to figure out ways of burying it.
2) For your "real" install - this looks to be an experiment - are you going to use any mount/bracket/or edge to have the unit fit snugly?
All in all - GREAT JOB.

Hey welcome Kosmin!!
That is a very convenient place to put a VAFC.
It's great you are using the search...so many new board members don't when they have a question. Just for the sanity of your fellow board members, though, do take a look at the dates when threads ended before commenting rather than asking a clarifying question (like: "has anyone had any regrets who have mounted their VAFC in this location"). This one died 7yrs ago!

i thought this was a new thread coming up.
i have the boomslang and originally i was going to place it in the center console (ap1) but the wires are about six inches too short. the sun here is too strong for placement in direct sunlight and so my VAFC location is under the SEAT...
