Angry new top at 11k....(sigh)

my cars at honda getting a new top at 11k miles... stupid passenger side above your ear pretty much near the metal bar (the common spot right?) : ( Dropped it off last night and they said it'd be done by 6pm today- the SM called me back and said since the top needs rivets and some other stuff, and that they're sending to their upholstery shop that they recommend and trust to do the work... Not only that, but they said I'd have to wait till around Friday to get my car back!

Asked for a loaner too, but nope no they can't give me one...had to drive out 40 miles to/from so I could bring it to the dealership i bought it from

Has anyone else gotten wear in that spot in AP2 so early in your car's life? I'm stressin right now cuz this sucks hardcore... I don't like having to get a new top and having people take my damn car apart with the risk of it not being the same anymore... /rant

Wow, that's very soon. Do you use your top a lot? I see your location is in Jersey, whereabouts are you? I'm in Jersey too and if I have a problem with the top, maybe I can take it to the same dealer if mine gives me problems.

I've only had the car 8 months, and 4 or so of those months it was cold so no top usage at all...The last few months I've used the top pretty frequently, still shouldn't wear a spot in the top that's about to break through yaknow? I'm in Hamilton near Trenton, the dealership is Burns Honda... It'd probably be best to bring it to the dealership that you bought the car from though, cuz of CSI scores and all that.

Although I had to replace mine due to vandalism, my original top lasted 3+ years and never wore through.

At least you will have a new top free of charge.

Same here 2005 22k miles replaced took 9 days because they have to take the glass off the old one and rivets to new top. They needs rivets thats why its took them so long. Same passenger side ripped. new top wil rip again if you dont file/sand that part down.

Quick Reply: new top at 11k....(sigh)
