I'm very weary on knock-offs when it comes to safety. I agree with Back-cracker. I'd never buy knock-off seatbelts, seats, roll bars, etc. or even the non-functional real ones.

I wouldnt mind picking these knock-offs up IF they have been FIA homologated.

Tyraid2k or anyone with additional info: Are these seats FIA homologated?

not that i've read no, they are in a few show cars but I haven't seen them in any race cars unfortunately, it is a relatively new product though so it may happen...

[QUOTE=Back-cracker,Jun 27 2006, 05:33 PM] Personally,

Replicated Hood are OK, Wings are OK, but I'm not sure about REPLICA seats.

i semi agree with this. seibon is yes, a "knockoff" brand, but they arnt completely crap either. i was very satisfied with my seibon hood on my last S... while it was not as light as the real deal, it did everything else just as well (looks etc)..... what im trying to say is, i think they are a large enough company not to release a seat that will break into 300 pieces in a accident.. i think they have alittle more at stake than your average ebay special brand... but i could be wrong... lol
It's not "FIA homologated". Read above. Buddy Clubs will be a better cheaper alternative for those who are $$$ sensative. 300-400 bucks is not worth your life.

are the stock seats FIA?

if not then why the argument? I just won't enter FIA GT with my car then ok?

um...what?
how much? I'm not sure, but carbon kevlar is pretty close, so these aren't fake per say, they may be modeled on another seat...
