are you insane? with that and say a 250 month car payment...you could be driving a brand new lotus exige in a few years with no more speeding tickets! and still save money... i would swap to a yaris or some car that has no hp and is low on insurance. Man I wish i sold insurance when i hear things like this. whatever floats your boat though man

 

Im 23, clean record, just bought a new 07, full coverage progressive insurance for me is 775 for 6 months (129/month).

Is this a typo? Are you seriously paying $12,500 a year on insurance alone??

 

I'm 22 and paying around $150 a month.

 

That's crazy. I would not be driving an S2000 if I had to pay that much for insurance.

 

In most states they go by age but Cali is by driving experience. Also factor in where you live (by zip code), driving record, who else is on the policy with you, etc, etc, etc...I would also say to call or go online to get a quote. To many variables that go into cost of insurance.

 

33 with "bad" record and with Geico I pay $650 for 6 months.
