It all makes sense now why my AP2 handles so terribly. It's front-engined! Should have done my research. Guess I'll have to trade it in when the new S2000 comes out in only three years right? Right?!??

I'm also curious as to why the OP would claim AP2 is not considered mid-engine. The engine on AP2's is still mounted behind the front axles..

Also, the writers of these reports (most) know that the S2000 was a mid engine car. The difference with the claims of a new S2000 is that it is rumored to be a REAR mid-engine like the NSX, where as the original S2000 was a FRONT mid-engine.

Also, I'll believe all the rumors of a new S2000 when they are on the showroom floor.

Yeah it's also going to pack 900 hp and have AWD.. guys, nobody knows. It really is fun to speculate though. Rear mid-engine would not be an s2000 successor IMO though regardless of what they think.

Can't decide on next Gen NSX or next Gen S2000.

Information from Utah isn't all too much of a reliable source.

Mid engine = engine located 100% between the axles. Dunno why AP2 wouldn't be considered Front-mid too, but honestly I don't think I've ever looked under the hood of one.

I am pretty sure the OPs post should be read with a tone of sarcasm. Think he is critiquing the reports he has recently read.

Exactly.

What we DO know for sure is the following: Honda is making two mid-engine vehicles beneath the NSX, one of which is not coming to the United States. Anything else is speculation or perhaps educated speculation based upon a leak or rumor that may or may not be credible.

I actually heard the next gen is going to put the engine in the place of the passenger seat, truly a drivers car.
