Tried pulling forward on the handle and it made no difference.

Another thing I've noticed is that the door windows seem to push harder against the rubber seal nowaday - but that a good thing, right...as it'll be a tighter seal?

If there is water in the car to condensate on a cold roof you might have a leak somewhere.
They take a lot of stuff out to replace the roof and they disturb the rain gutter at the back of the soft top for instance.
When I got mine back they had forgotten to replace the fixings on the rain gutter at either end (just over your shoulder).
Check the carpets in the car and in the bottom of the boot well for moisture.

Well at least you won't need to replace your strikers. Guess it's seaping in somewhere else

It's funny you should say that!

I've been doing some stereo mods lately and when I removed the boot liner this past w/e to run the amp wires the trunk well was full of water - not a little, a LOT. I checked the forums and it appeared perhaps water was seeping in through trunk air vent - as suggested I hosed water all over the trunk area for quite a while but none seemed to seep in. I sealed it up anyway but perhaps this may be the true cause.

Is this something that's easy to check?

BTW, carpets seemed dry.

Take it back to the dealer who changed the soft top and get them to fix it!
They have probably put the soft top rain gutter in wrong, left something out or not tightened something up properly.
Try a hose over the soft top and see if water flows into the trunk.

Oh, and get yourself over to the UK forum

Hey Shopman - I thought the International forum was for all to see, ie. more people to help solve my problems...for the S that is

Doubt I'll be needing a hose to test my roof - I'm near you, in Alton, so enjoying the same lovely weather!

I am having the same problem to. I have an 06 and the roof was replaced due to ware near the rear passenger side.

I took it to the dealer and when I picked it up something didn't seam right. When you put tthe windows it doesn't make thoses air tight seals. So I took it back and they advised it was the middle center seal and they fixed it. Still not the same. To top it off my top sometimes hits ths roll bars. Oh well.
