I had 2 new Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position tires (225-16) installed about a month ago and after reading all the info on this board I'm a little confused. They dont have that OEM number that someone posted which is on both size tires(front and rear)and I got them from New Tire in Delaware who ordered them and said they are compatible with the OEM front tires. I dont think they are, however, I cant see any difference in handling between the original tires and these. I dont drive over aggressively but I do push this car and all seems fine. The fronts will need to be replaced in the Spring so I guess I would have to order the same tires from New Tire for the front. Make sense?

So your rear tires don't have 92W anywhere on the sidewall? Here are several the different types of S-02s made (not counting the Pole Positions): http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.jsp?mak...el=Potenza+S-02

Notice the Honda OEMs are the two on the chart that do NOT have specs, and they are the only two W-rated S-02 tires.

What is a W rated tire? Is it better then a Z rated tire?

According to Tire Rack, W-rated tires are good up to 168 mph and Z-rated are good for 149+ mph

No they dont STL, guess I didnt get the OEM's. Mine are ZR rated and thats fine as I'll never see 149mph let alone 160+ so I'll go with these tires on the front in spring and just live with it. [QUOTE]Originally posted by STL:

Actually you got OEMs -- just not Honda OEMs! Looks like you probably have the N3 Porsche OEM tires. Do you happen to have a digital camera? If you do (or can get one), would you mind taking a close up photo of the tread of one the rear tires?

Here are the kind of pictures I am looking for (or maybe just confirm your rear tire's tread looks like the last picture):

See below...someone quoted this message so the pictures were in this thread twice -- which only makes it take longer to load! So I removed them from here...

Thanks STL, no I dont have a digital camera but I will compare thses pics to my rear tires. I think mine are different in that they have a groove running down the center but I'll chack and let you know. [QUOTE]Originally posted by STL:
