Default New radiator

Hey guys i need help here. So star my car and drive it to store not long ago then when i start the engine i heard crank crank then drove home. I noticed that my radiator is leaking and when i check it. It run out of coolant. So i guess when i drove the for sure it has no coolant. Now i was in my garage i started the engine and the temp was in the middle. I turn it off and planning to replace a new radiator. My question do you think i damage the engine? And do you think it will start OVERHEATING even if i replace it with new radiator?

Matbe it caused damage. First fix your radiator. Make sure its not just a leaking radiator cap.

No matter what, you now have air in the system, so you'll need to bleed that out once its fixed. That can challenging to get it all. You may think its good, only to overheat and really destroy your motor if its not already damaged. Heat should blow so hot it feels like it will burn your fingers. If not, there is still air. It may seem to run at correct temp, but it will suddenly overheat without warning. So make doubly sure all the air is out and heater blows very hot.

You don't need 9 threads on the same topic scattered throughout the forum.
