New Product Release - Anodised Gear Knobs
#11
Well I don't even have an S2000, so it's not that I need one for me but.... what's this "alignment for the stem?" And laser marking?
Does this have to do with how it affixes to the shift lever? Don't think so, because I think the VooDoo's a direct screw-on, and I'm sure yours are too, so it must be something else.
Just for fun, I thought I'd show a picture of some new Subaru knobs. We ScoobyFolk didn't have a lot of options, excepting STi (WAY too expen$ive) and a couple others. Then along came Kartboy, a very cool private vendor that makes top-notch short shifters and other goodies.
The "Knuckleball"
Neat huh? They're even anodized. Er, I mean "anodised."
See, good products result from good vendors putting in some elbow grease.

Yeah the logo is indeed clever. A few folks have complained that the shift patterns don't match, though. (We have five speeds.) I say they get over it, it's cool.
Thanks for explainin,' guess I didn't know about the tightener. I know a lot of knobs have hex screws that actually attach the knob to the lever, but if yours is used as more of a lock (as it seems), it ought to be really stable!
Soon as you get some installed pics, please post them.
How's AUS these days? I keep trying to talk my fiancee into moving there with me. Got a lot of chiropractors down there? She gets her Doctorate in October.

Well it'll probably never happen, and I've never even visited, but from all I've heard, it's an awesome place to live. Maybe someday we will.
As for the Knuckleball logos, yeah they come on top of every one, but you can pick red or blue (along with picking either a black or silver knob). So it's a little variety. They're $40 too, which is awesome compared to the nearly identical-in-shape-anyway Subaru WRC knob, which goes for something like $150. Especially for a direct-fit knob!!! Kartboy's always been superb in their pricing, though. Fairly low volume stuff, no multi-reseller overhead. Great thing!
