New Paint Job Question
I have a 2000 black on black S2000 and I am not happy about the paint job. I just posted a thread eariler today about Honda's black paint job on the S2000 in comparison to an LS. I have had someone confirm that the LS has a more brilliant, glossier black than ours. What is it about a paint job that makes this difference? I would like to make sure that when I get my car painted, I use the correct materials to get this super glossy shine.

it all depends on the shop that does it. Some people have certain brand preferences with paint but the application is really the key element.
Classic restorers are ususally the best people to seek to get a quality job. They're much more particular to details and also deal with much pickier customers.

Wow, so those $199 paint jobs must be the worst quality you can get!
I didn't realize that I would have to pay that type of money, but I guess that that's what it cost for quality.

I don't know, I think my black is very nice and glossy. It has a thick layer of dust on it from sitting in the garage and autox events. When I went to pick it up from the dealer after an oil change, I had thought they washed it. But when I got closer, it still had a layer of dust (not dirt mind you) and shiny. I really love the 1 Grand Blitz Wax.
