Actually, If you have a full body kit and higher mileage and don't plan on getting rid of it in the foreseeable future....go wild. A good potential owner/dealer, whatever will know immediately you repainted no matter what color you choose and give you the same questions. I wouldn't have too much of a problem with that modified of a car being a different color if you were totally up front about it and I was wanting it the way it was.
I think also with your car being black currently you could get away with leaving the engine bay black as long as you did have all the other door jambs done fully, that would save you some $$$ and still look pretty good. (that wouldn't work if you had another color IMHO.
....if I was in your situation I think I'd go MC Blue or something totally different.

If you thought monte carlo blue looked hot, check out Electric Pearl Blue.... ITs what they use on the NSX, a guy in SoCal has his painted like that.
