Have you noticed the folding instructions on the underside of the cover. While this probably makes it fit better, I still seldom use the cover because of the hassle. I usually raise my top when I park, anyway.

B-Man......got to wait for it to warm up a bit. When warm it will stretch jusdt fine. But as previouly noted it looks like your top is not fully retracting (IMHO).

Utah, you are exactly right. About a week ago, on a warm day, I put down the top and used a little added locomotion from my arm to help the motor along.

Voila! I could SEE the pegs easily and they seemed INCHES closer to the top. The flap of canvas was loose. It was a snap to put the top on.

I think ALL of us having great difficulty putting the tonneau cover on don't have the convertible top fully retracted. I'd owned the car for five months and had put the top up and down a dozen times, but, this day it finally worked right!

Barry,
When you lowered your top the last time you said it went all the way down....mine stops and I can push it down by hand another couple inches. You know if this is normal, or should it remain all the way down? My two tabs keep popping out when I drive it and think that this is the reason why they dont stay in...the top is not 100% of the way down.

I don't know the answer, but I suspect you are right that our tops are too new and don't go down as well as they will when they loosen up.

Maybe we're supposed to put on 600 miles (1,000 km) of top motion break-in, before we use the tonneau cover???????

QUOTE: However be on the look out for a full tonneau cover for the S2K.

Please, please, please be sure to put this up on the board when anyone first hears of its availability. I had one of these on my XK150 Jag & it was a dream. Unzip the driver's side, and leap in! Zip it back up, and the complete inside of your car is out of view of prying eyes & the sun. And, you'll never, ever have to use that x+-/* boot cover again.

Alright, anyone could unzip it and have a look-in, but you don't leave your precious S2000 just anyplace, do you?

Jim

Once released to the general S2000 populus, there will be made available a boot cover replacement that integrates with the tonneau cover very nicely.
