New to me S2K - MY 2000....
Well after a while or "Lurking" I took the plunge and picked up an AP1 MY 2000 S2K .
Bought in DC from the original owner with 50K miles on it, never been hit, no paintwork and full Honda service history.
Truly enjoying this car...
I was wondering if anyone can help me with improvements...
- Interior DR Side Elbow Rest in the center of the car - Pleather has worn out in the corners and is ripping. Looking to replace it...Anyone ever reupholster or bought a replacement? From Where?
- Interior DR Side Seat Outer Bolster is worn and showing signs of age with wrinkles and discoloration...Has anyone tried black leather paint or any other options for a cure...Any suggestions for a new leather seat cover (same as OEM)?
- Headlamps appear to be a little yellowed, weathered...Can this be wet sanded or removed somehow to bring back the plastic clear lens color?
Other then this its in excellent condition...just looking make it better..
Thanks for your assistance any help is appreciated
Ron

You can get the leather re dyed to restore the look of the leather. I do not know the method but I know some shops do offer that.
The elbow pad can be reupholstered inexpensively at your local upholsterer.
Headlights can be wet sanded and polished using a porter cable and rubbing compound.
You can get very nice seat covers from gotuning. Search "Clazzio seat covers" I think on here. Should find the whole thread on them. $300 for leather covers that fit like oem.

I agree with CKit, Joe's (cyclone) stuff is top knotch. Check jpmcoachworks.com
The headlight can be wet sanded but try using Plastix first. You can pick it up from just about any parts store for 8 bucks.

I own a '00. I'd recommend replacing that wimpy horn with something like a set of Hella Supertones. They're under $75 bucks; installation is a pleasant afternoon in the garage with a ball game on the tv; they actually make the car a bit safer. That wimpy 3A single horn just doesn't cut it when a Soccermom Urban Vehicle changes lanes into you.
