Just back from a week in Paris, where I saw many BMWs, Porsches, Mercedes, Minis, Smartcars, etc., but not a single S2000. In fact, Hondas and other Japanese cars were quite scarce, and my guess is that France imposes heavy import duties on them.

Anyway, the owners manual case protoype is delayed and my guess is that we won't see it for another two weeks. But I've noted all the new comments.

Rick:

Any new news on this?

I hope the polar ice cap has receded from upstate New York by now so Townsend Leather can work on this.

Please post update. Thanks!

Yes, I would be in on a group-buy as well.

Girlfriend's Lexus RX300 came with a beautiful leather case for the manual, service receipts, and other car papers (dealer cards, key template, etc.) and I was VERY surprised that the dealer handed the S2000 manual to me in one of their little plastic sleeves. I think I actually said "...thats IT?"

Anyway, am off to Office Depot to find a leather folder-brief to keep my car records.

Now that I think of it, some collector's plastic sleeves too for the original brochure, etc...

Sorry, guys. The rumor of my death is premature . Townsend keeps putting me off on the prototypes. I'll check with them tomorrow. I'm starting to get teed off with them about this one.

The OEM seatback pocket works great for full-size service receipts. Looking forward to Rick's case for the owner's manual and warranty book, etc
