New Jersey Vehicle Emissions Inspection
I took my S2000 for the New Jersey Vehicle Emissions Inspection Test this morning. Since this test is not required until a new car is two years old, mine was probably one of the first ones that they have seen at a State Inspection Facility.
I was nervous at first, but the inspectors did fine. They only needed help in closing the hood correctly after they opened it to check the engine size.
The Emissions Results were interesting:
GAS - STANDARD - READING
NOx - 725 - 0
HC - 89 - 7
CO% - 0.50 - 0.00
CO2% - n/a - 15.2
O2% - n/a - 0.0
All readings were well below the standards, and I guess that this is to be expected from a low emission vehicle.

I had mine inspected about a month after I purchased mine out of state (NY). It was inspected at Secaucus back in December of 2000. Luckily this was a while after the vehicle inspection fiasco we experienced here in NJ. I went on a beautiful clear Saturday and there was no lines. The S2000 passed with flying colors
