Default New Guy,just saying hi

Hi guy's and gals, new to the board here. Name's Chris, I don't currently have an S2000, BUT I'm in the market. Right now I'm the proud owner of a 2004 WRX STi. I've been looking at moving over to the S2k for quite awhile, and have been doing quite abit of lurking on the boards. Found answers to alot of questions and I didn't even have to ask. Anyway just thought I'd register and say hi since I'm alomst certain that I'll soon have me a shiney s2k insted of an STi.

Well there have been quite afew things that have directed my attention to an S. First off I have always like the S2k, but in my search for a new car it just kinda of fell by the wayside when compaired to the brute tourque of the STi. Then after purchasing the STi I realized that everyone wants to race it. Everytime I turn around someone is reving at me and I just get tired of it. I'm hoping to have less of that with an S. Then there's the way the STi feels. It doesn't "feel" like a sports car, at least not after driving the S2k. Both have athletic suspension and great handling, but the STi just looses it with the 4 doors. Yes it has gobs of power but most of it isn't usable on the street (legaly anyway). I don't really have a need for the AWD because the winters around here aren't that bad. I love the convertable aspect of the S and especially like the hartop option for the winter. I never really cary people other than my g/f around. Also recently the STi has become a wee bit expencive to own (ie. brake pads, clutch, ect) and the insurace would be less for the S as would parts. So it just seems that in my minds eye the S would just be a better choice for me as a daily driven sports car that I would enjoy owning, and could take to the track to play around every once in a while.
