I'd say ignorantly optimistic.
You need to be if you're considering a purchase. Do not gloss over this.

Why would you sell your truck if you can't even find an S2000 yet? How are you able to get around?
In either case, why can't you work and save money for another few months? Buying the cheapest S2000 on the market is just asking for trouble. There is a reason why they're that cheap. You save a few grand now, but the car will demand your money/attention when you least expect it and that's when it sucks because you won't have money then. Patience young grasshopper.

If you can kick that $6k up to around $10k, things change. Not saying all $10k s2k's are going to be sound (I saw junk for more than that while looking for mine), but good ones can be found in that range.

i bought my first s2k for around 7,500. The reason it was so cheap was because the top had a tear and also the whole back window was shattered. Also there was a discrepency on the title. So one i had it i had to spend another 2000 for new top plus other minor issues. So even if you are looking to spen 6K after all said and done you are going to be way past that trying to fix it up. So i really recommend trying to save up the extra money so you can get a S that doesnt have any major problems. If not take a look at this S:

Do yourself a favor and either buy a cheaper car or save more money. I PROMISE you a 6k S2000 will take a large chunk of change to become decent condition. Don't forget Insurance, taxes, title, etc. Tires will cost you anywhere from $500-1200. Right of the bat youll probably need a new filter, oil, trans fluid, diff fluid (i know its little but it all ads up)

hey guys sorry i havent been able to reply but here i am now. I won a silver with black interior 2000 with 130k miles for $3500 at an insurance aution. no major damage just small things and it has a clear tittle. Here is what it need. front bumper, hood (which i already picked one up with the cut vents for $70 locally from what i believe is a member on here because he mentioned the site)trunk, and tailights and one of the headlights has a little piece of plastic broken in the corner so ill probably get a new set too. other than that the car is perfect. what do you guys think? did i get a good deal? also if anyone can point me in a good direction with those parts. maybe a site thats reliable and ships out quick cause i wanna get into that s2k already i was wanting this bumper from this site http://www.bodykits....-100061/615960/ what do you guys think? thanks!
No clue if that's a good deal until you can confirm there are no major mechanical issues and you can replace all the missing pieces. Please don't cheap out with some poor fitting, primered bodykit though...she's an expensive date, please treat her well
